What information we collect
There are a number of business scenarios in which your personal information may help us provide better solutions, including:
  • We may ask for your personal information when you’re discussing a service issue on the phone with an associate, downloading a software update, requesting a product demo, participating in an online program, or purchasing a product.

  • We may occasionally collect information for market research and analysis purposes to gain a better understanding of our customer’s needs and improve our product platform.
We may collect information regarding customer activities on our websites, in an effort to understand which areas of our websites and online services are of the most interest.

Your Touchrate ID and password
The Touchrate reporting website for customers, as well as the Client Login link within the Touchrate website, requires a pre-assigned “Touchrate ID” and “Touchrate Password” based on your business information. This secure network protects your data and allows for easier access to our online services. Here’s how it works: Each time you access the Touchrate reporting website or Client Login link, simply enter your Touchrate ID and password, and the system will automatically customize the information to your business. In addition, if you request to change the information associated with your Touchrate ID or password, it will be modified within Touchrate’s global network.

Publicly displayed information
If you participate in a discussion board, blog or social media outlet within the Touchrate online community, you should be aware that any information you share is visible to other users. Personally identifiable information you submit to one of these forums can be read, collected, or used by other individuals to send you unsolicited messages. Touchrate is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums.

With our service providers, vendors, and strategic partners
There are also times when it may be advantageous for Touchrate to make certain personal information available to companies that Touchrate has a strategic relationship with or that performs work on our behalf. These companies may help us implement solutions, deliver products, provide customer service, or manage customer data. These companies are also obligated to protect your personal information in accordance with Touchrate’s policies.

How we protect your personal information
Touchrate takes precautions – including administrative, technical, and physical measures – to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. You can also help us by taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet, by closely managing your passwords and using a secure browser such as Safari or Internet Explorer.

Integrity of your personal information
Touchrate has safeguards in place to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date for the purposes for which it is used. At any time, you have the right to access and correct the personal information you have provided and can request a copy of your information by contacting info@touchrate.com.

Cookies and other technologies
As is standard practice on many corporate websites, Touchrate’s website uses “cookies” and other technologies to help us understand which parts of our websites are the most frequently visited. We use cookies to study traffic patterns on our website, to study the effectiveness of our customer communications, and to customize your experience each time you interact with us.

If, however, you prefer not to enable cookies, our support team can guide you step by step on how to disable cookies. Please note that certain features of the Touchrate website may not be available once cookies are disabled.

In some of our email messages we may use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Touchrate website. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through our web server before arriving at the destination web page. We can track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked, simply avoid clicking text or graphic links in such emails.

Our commitment to data security

Once we receive your transmission of information, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

If Touchrate learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. We may post a notice on our website if a security breach occurs. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing.
